About Me

I started my career as a teacher in Hong Kong. While I loved teaching, it was talking to my students about their tough times that truly mattered to me—those moments when students felt safe enough to open up about their struggles, anxieties, and the pressure to have it all figured out. This led me to change direction, and I began working with young people in London who were struggling in education—those at risk of exclusion, grappling with anxiety, or feeling lost in a system that didn’t always see them.

From there, I stepped into the domestic abuse sector, supporting people living with the impact of trauma. It was powerful and challenging work, and it strengthened my conviction in the importance of being heard. In these therapeutic spaces, I discovered person-centred psychotherapy and was inspired by its belief in the power of being truly understood and accepted.

In 2022, I began training at the Metanoia Institute in Contemporary Person-centred Psychotherapy, and since 2023, I’ve worked for low-cost therapy services across London. I’m now registered as a trainee with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and am working towards full accreditation in private practice.
