Therapy

Starting therapy can be daunting. Whether it is something you’ve been contemplating for a while, or a recent decision, taking the first step can feel like a huge leap.

My approach is person-centred psychotherapy, which means that therapy isn’t about me giving advice or being an expert on your experience. Instead, it’s a space where you can take your time to explore your thoughts and feelings, with empathy, acceptance, and real human connection at its core.

Person-centred Psychotherapy

  • The person-centred approach is all about trusting that you’ve got everything you need within you to heal and grow, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. In a non-judgemental and empathic space, you might just start tapping into those resources. My role as your therapist isn’t to give you advice, but to offer a genuine, supportive space where you can figure out what feels right for you.

Whether you want to talk about anxiety, relationships, identity, burnout, that feeling of being stuck, or something you can’t quite put your finger on yet, it’s all welcome here.

The therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the person-centred approach, and I’ll start building the relationship with you right from the beginning, celebrating your autonomy and individuality. We’ll work together to make sense of things. Over time, you might start feeling more in tune with yourself.

  • Person-centred therapy isn’t about labels, diagnoses or quick fixes. You won’t be analysed, given advice, or expected to change in a specific way. There’s no expectation to fit into anyone else’s idea of what healing looks like. Instead, you’ll have the freedom to explore what matters to you, at your own pace.

Person-centred therapy is a space where all of you is welcome—even the parts that feel messy, stuck, or uncertain.

  • Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and see how it feels to work together. There’s no pressure to dive into anything before you’re ready, and there’s no specific way you need to show up. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with—we’ll go at your pace. You might want to talk about what’s brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping to get from it, or simply see how it feels to be in the space.

I’ll explain a little about how I work and answer any questions you might have.

  • I am registered as a trainee psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). As a trainee, I attend a high ratio of supervision to client hours, meaning I regularly discuss my work (confidentially) with a highly experienced supervisor to ensure I offer the best possible support. I’m also required to be in personal therapy myself, continuing to reflect on my own process.

I began my training in 2022 and have since worked in low-cost therapy services across London, supporting people navigating life’s challenges. I’m now working towards full accreditation in private practice.
